It seems there are a lot of people out there searching for information on Sandals Resorts in St Lucia. Well let me see how I can assist.
There are three (3) Sandals Resorts on the island, Sandals Grande St Lucian, Sandals La Toc and Sandals Halcyon Beach. Each has its own place in the pecking order, but I can not say which is better than the other. Each is situated on a beach, all on the Caribbean Sea side of the island where you will find clear calm waters. see details of each below. If you need more information just ask or check out their websites.
Sandals Grande St Lucian:
Details:
Location: Pigeon Island Causeway
Accommodations: 300 rooms
Restaurants on site: Yes
Region: Gros Islet, Pigeon Island Causeway
Reservations: 888 726 3257
Website: www.sandals.com
Situated on a man made causeway built for the hotel industry with the calm of Rodney Bay on one side and the somewhat more rough waters of the Atlantic ocean on the other – often used by our island surfers. This causeway joins the mainland to the once private island – Pigeon Island National Park site of the St Lucia Jazz Festival. The resort offers spectacular ocean vistas and mountain views of the Rodney Bay and Cap Estate areas. The beach in front the resort is a clear caribbean waters beach ideal for swimming and snorkeling, water sports or just relaxing in the Caribbean sunlight. Here to you can find two jetties, one used for relaxing or even muscle rejuvenating massage. The other hosts Gordon’s Restaurant on the pier a said to be gourmet dining experience, available to Butler Suite visitor but will be an additional cost to the rest of you mere mortals.
Sandals Grande offers a variety of extravagant suites that are available from exotic Swim-Up Lagoon Rooms, where guests can step from the patio into the cool waters of the pool, to new Rondoval Suites, unique round suites complete with private pools, Butler Service and 24-hour room service. Enjoy gourmet dining at eight restaurants; unlimited land & water sports including scuba diving and water-skiing; six bars serving premium-brand beverages including Beringer wines; a full-service Red Lane Spa and more! Sandals exchange program allows guests to enjoy all the amenities and services at two neighboring Sandals Resorts, Sandals Halycon Beach and Sandals Saint Lucian. Roundtrip transfers are included.
The following is an excerpt right out of the Sandals website:
Everything aquatic is at your beck and call during your St. Lucia all-inclusive vacation, with an alluring dive reef just five minutes away. Five fresh water pools beckon—rejuvenate in the Sandals signature energy pool with swim-up bar, immerse in romance in the beachside heart-shaped pool for lovers, or glide from your living room into the exotic lagoon pool. Give in to total indulgence in the one-of-a-kind Presidential Suite or a Grande Rondoval suite-in-the-round with your own private pool. Dine around the world in eight international restaurants including the renowned over-the-water Gordon’s. Thirteen additional restaurants await your pleasure at the two other Sandals St. Lucia resorts. Excitement and entertainment abound with enthralling fire dancers, on-premise village festivals, saxophone serenades from atop the pool tower, and ongoing entertainment nightly.
Sandals La Toc – Gold & Spa Resort:
Details:
Location: La Toc
Accommodations: 327 rooms 116 Suites
Restaurants on site: Yes
Region: Castries
Reservations: 888 726 3257
Website: www.sandals.com
Sandals La Toc is very different from its Grande counterpart, firstly Sandals La Toc also offers a golf Course. The beach is not as nice as the other two but a beautiful beach nevertheless. I can get a little bit rough at some times of year. This resort is bigger than the Grande expanding from beach front to cliff front, with some amazing view on offer. The resort is located on 210 acres of land with a half-mile crescent shaped beach at the front. At Sandals La Toc you will find a number of ocean rooms to luxurious Villa Suites with private pools, butler service and lots more.
The following is an excerpt right out of the Sandals website:
Cradled within a true rainforest on the simply beautiful island of St. Lucia, this 210-acre masterpiece estate features the Sunset Ocean Bluff, a resort within the resort, flaunting breathtaking vistas from bluff-top villas with private intimate pools. Indulge in Five-Star Diamond French cuisine and other tantalizing faire from around the world in nine spectacular restaurants. Revel in the island’s largest pool. Inhale the sweetness of flowering gardens. Advance your golf swing at the resort’s executive golf course. Live a millionaire’s life with your own private butler. At Sandals La Toc, you’re surrounded by glamour and wrapped in the sense of entitlement you deserve.
Sandals Halcyon Beach:
Details:
Location: Choc
Accommodations: 169 rooms & Suites
Restaurants on site: Yes
Region: Castries
Reservations: 888 726 3257
Website: www.sandals.com
Sandals Halcyon is my opinion is nothing like the other two Sandals Resorts on the island. This resort feels like a toned down version, but keep in mind that I have never stayed at any one of them myself. Sandals Halcyon is a beach front resort located just outside the capital Castries. It is situated on a white sand beach overlooking the Caribbean Sea, with views of Choc Bay. The setting for this resort is more tropical in feel than the others with more foliage and gardens surrounding the Suites and rooms. The resort also has a number of restaurants, the Pier restaurant set out over the sea, pools and more. One of the features offered at this Sandals is the Sandals Exclusive Exchange Program that allows guests to enjoy all the amenities and services of the other two Sandals Resorts on the island. It includes some of the other restaurants, golf at La Toc transfer to and from and more. This in my opinion is to make up for what the other Sandals resort offer and this resort does not.
The following is an excerpt right out of the Sandals website:
Lazy swims in the secluded lagoon pool (one of three), seductive strolls among birds of paradise and brilliantly shaded trees, and an unwavering sense of “No worries, Mon” brings your fantasy island to life. A highlight of every St. Lucia vacation is indulging in the island’s most impressive dining experience at The Pier—dramatically extending 130 feet out over the water. It’s just one of four restaurants and seven bars, plus with our dine around program there are seventeen additional restaurants at the neighboring Sandals St. Lucia Resorts. With a spellbinding backdrop of verdant mountainsides reminiscent of exotic Fiji, your senses awaken. This is quintessential Caribbean, and you are about to surrender to a world of enchantment and the ultimate island state of mind.
