Full description

he house is a solid two storey structure built in the seventies with approximately half an acre of mature gardens. Located at the end of a private road, the house is entered from the top floor which comprises sitting/dining room, kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom which is approx. 12’ x 20’ has an en-suite bathroom with tub. All the bedrooms have built-in shelves and cupboards.
On the lower level, accessed by a stone stairway that runs down the side of the house, is a large studio apartment with a walk in storage/closet, toilet and shower and kitchen alcove. There is also a one bedroom apartment with sitting room/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with a tub. A door between the two apartments allows them to be used together as one two-bedroomed apartment.
The house looks out over the Bois d’Orange wetlands with a partial view of the causeway and Pigeon Island. Because of its elevation there is nearly always a breeze and the house is situated facing east to take advantage of this. From the back the view is to the west looking down over the area of Labrelotte Bay. The trees in the garden include mango, coconut, soursop,. Sugar apple, custard apple, tamarind, plum, cherry and local ‘gooseberry’.
