Captain Tom is a Saint Lucian local with international cruising experience, he is also the Managing Director of Exodus Boat Charters and has been since 1998. Way back in the day when Thomas Peter (a.k.a. Captain Tom) was fishing the shores of picturesque Marigot Bay he yearned for the day when he would have his own boat. The flames of a seafaring career were already well and truly fanned.

So at 17 years old (and after a short stint of employment with Rodney Bay Marina) he turned his hand to Water Sports at various hotels but something wasn’t quite right, something was missing. The burning ambition to captain his own craft and take the boat charter industry to a new level was beginning to rage. He knew what visitors wanted and was determined to supply them with it . . . quality service.

1998 saw Captain Tom purchase an Aqua Sport 22 called (you guessed it) Exodus and the show was well and truly on the road, well, sea to be exact. Exodus Boat Charters now boasts a small fleet of five boats all fully equipped to international standards and servicing the full gamut of leisure services on (and in) Saint Lucia’s waters.

Exodus Boat Charters might have Captain leading the company but it’s certainly no one-man band. For instance there is Captain Del from Gros Islet. As sense of humours go he has one as big as his signature Captain’s hat.

With more than a ‘hatful’ of local knowledge he is happy to share it with any guests who wish to further their knowledge of fair Helena and what better way to do it than on one of Exodus Boat Charters cruises? There’s so much to see and even more hidden in our piece of paradise, the things that don’t make the glossy brochures, the intimacies that only generations of island-dwellers know are extolled to guests as Saint Lucia slowly glides by.
